Hey guys! I have just found out that I have been invited to
an Indian wedding last minute and it is this Sunday! I am now panicking on what
to wear (obviously I have to buy something new) so I could do with some
suggestions. We are going to the wedding all day, so I need something
comfortable! I have never been to an Indian wedding before and I can't say I
have any traditional clothing lying around so I want to wear something
respectful and cover my legs and shoulders. The problem I have found is if you wear
a maxi dress they don't cover your arms and I don't want to look like a granny
in a cardi or shrug haha!
So.. I was looking last night and the only thing I have
found is this dress from Lavish Alice. I really like it as it's long but will
still show my ankles. I also love the colour of it! It kind of covers the
shoulders but I know I will still want to wear something over it anyway. I
thought maybe a light blazer could look okay but this is where I need some
suggestions as I am struggling to actually find something in the shops!
Also accessories I am thinking a coloured belt rather than
the black one and gold accessories.. I fancy having a bit of sparkle as I know
how gorgeous traditional Indian dress is for weddings.
So I am open to any suggestions on either another dress or
accessories to go with this one! I have ordered this already so I can see it
but I am also going shopping tomorrow as well. If you know any good websites,
that aren't too expensive send them this way ladies!
this would be perfect for the wedding! especially with gold accessories xx

Thanks, I like this one because it isn't too high at the front like some are! I'll take a look xx
DeleteI'm going to an Indian wedding too on the bank hol, I'm half west indian but my uncle is marrying a proper indian. I'm not going traditional but I will be wearing a head tikka, tikkas or bindis are a good way to nod to the traditional indian dress without wearing a sari!
ReplyDeleteGreat Blog hun, I love reading your stuff!!
