OOTD (Sunday)

I said in a previous post that I would show images of my outfit from the wedding I went to on Sunday and I have just got round to doing it... So here you go.

The day was lovely and I am glad the sun came out in the afternoon; no one wants it to rain on their wedding day! Although it means I am squinting in the photos but never mind. As you can see the bride looked gorgeous in her traditional dress and in her evening outfit and the venue was lovely.

What I wore:

Dress - Lavish Alice £33
Beaded shrug-type-thing - Debenhams £28
Belt - New Look £4.99
Bag - New Look £12.99
Shoes - Next

Weddings are such a great excuse to get dressed up don't you think? I loved getting ready for the day!

REN Skincare Offer

I have been pretty busy the last few days, on Thursday I found out that I have officially been accepted to London College of Fashion to do my final year there! I can't wait and I am so happy I got in as I really wanted to go there. Then on Sunday I went to an Indian wedding which was an extremely long day, (I was up at 6:30am getting ready!) but a lovely experience. And last night I went out to the cinema to see TED which my boyfriend had wanted to see since first seeing the trailer, and when he showed me it I was thinking this seems a bit silly and is definitely just stupid comedy boys find amusing. But I actually found it really funny and there is not another film out there like it!

Last week I also finally received my REN skincare products ordered and I can't wait to use them! I had heard about this brand through someone else's blog (sorry I can't remember who now!) and started looking on their website to discover so many great looking products. They have skincare products for every skin type from Dry, Sensitive, Normal, Combination and Blemish Prone so you can choose which is best for you. I had heard they were doing a special offer which encouraged me to order from them as it was a bargain! I ordered the Kit for Combination Skin (retailed at £12) which includes a cleanser, moisturiser and treatment mask as well as a set that is called Six of the Best (retailed at £20) with a selection of small products from facial polish to a night cream. With every order you also get to pick 2 free sample products too! I then used offer code REDHANDBAG at checkout and the total was £10.80 which is an amazing discount!

I am not sure whether this code still works on the website but it's worth a shot, they also do 10% off on your first order too and you collect points on what you spend to use on another purchase, so they are pretty good with their offers! I am really looking forward to testing out all of these products, especially the mask treatments that come with it as I haven't used a proper mask in so long.

I will make sure I review them once tried and tested.

Has anyone else ordered anything from REN?

What I bought this week

This week I bought a few bits and pieces, mainly for the wedding I am going to on Sunday as I wanted some new accessories... and an excuse to shop! So as it is Friday I wanted to share what I got. My shopping habit is pretty bad at the moment considering I don’t have much money, but I keep adding to my list of things to buy and it seriously is never ending!

So I received my Lavish Alice dress, (as shown in my previous post) which is gorgeous and I am so glad that it fits perfectly. It is a slightly darker colour to what was shown on the website but I prefer it as I have quite pale skin anyway, so didn’t want it to wash me out. I also got the gold bag and belt from New Look and the bangles from Republic to go with this outfit. I also got the leaf necklace in the sale in Debenhams for £3 which I may wear too.

Then on my shopping trip I got slightly distracted (as always) in Boots as I wanted to try more of the Botanics range after using their Mattifying Gel Cream so decided to pick up the cleanser and toner which I can’t wait to try! I also got this Lee Stafford Sun Kissed Lightening Spray which I am hoping will lighten up the not so blonde roots I have at the moment.

The roller brush was also a little bargain from a cheap store in town for £2.99, it’s by a brand called Goody which doesn’t look bad... but I guess I will see when I use it!

I will hopefully take a decent picture of my whole outfit on Sunday and post it on here to show the final look!

Have you used any of these products, if so what do you make of them?

A little help needed!

Hey guys! I have just found out that I have been invited to an Indian wedding last minute and it is this Sunday! I am now panicking on what to wear (obviously I have to buy something new) so I could do with some suggestions. We are going to the wedding all day, so I need something comfortable! I have never been to an Indian wedding before and I can't say I have any traditional clothing lying around so I want to wear something respectful and cover my legs and shoulders. The problem I have found is if you wear a maxi dress they don't cover your arms and I don't want to look like a granny in a cardi or shrug haha!

So.. I was looking last night and the only thing I have found is this dress from Lavish Alice. I really like it as it's long but will still show my ankles. I also love the colour of it! It kind of covers the shoulders but I know I will still want to wear something over it anyway. I thought maybe a light blazer could look okay but this is where I need some suggestions as I am struggling to actually find something in the shops!

Also accessories I am thinking a coloured belt rather than the black one and gold accessories.. I fancy having a bit of sparkle as I know how gorgeous traditional Indian dress is for weddings.

So I am open to any suggestions on either another dress or accessories to go with this one! I have ordered this already so I can see it but I am also going shopping tomorrow as well. If you know any good websites, that aren't too expensive send them this way ladies!
